Can I store primers/powder with desiccants? Is this safe or can it damage the powder/primers?

Safe. I've got dozens of rechargeable desiccant packs for storing items.

Now, for simple clarity in not suggesting dumping primers into a desiccant bag or immersing them in desiccant, more just a dry pack in the sealed moisture proof container you are storing them in.

It want hurt any thing as long as you don't break any seals on the powder, want help either. If the powder is new/sealed leave it that way. Primers have a sealant on them that makes it very difficult to near impossible to kill them. It's best to just sore them in a controlled environment. Save the desiccant for your loaded ammo.

I just ordered several packs off Amazon and thought about throwing one in each pound of powder and the rest in ammo cans with loaded ammo.

I would not put it inside a bottle with the powder.
I've wondered if putting those packs directly in with the powder could end up drawing any important chemical(s) away from the granuals. Or cause any premature breakdown

Concur with Blue above. Leave it sealed. Plus, I have no idea what reactions you may get (not to mention having to dig the desiccant out to recharge it someday and it busting possibly).

You also don't want to change the moisture content of the powder, by drying it out further, it will make the powder lighter and change it's burn rate per weight by taking more powder to make weight for the recipe your loading.
Drying it out past it manufactured moisture content can also make it burn faster, now it's double jeopardy.
Leave it sealed up and store it in the dark in a controlled environment, like Blue68f100 is saying to do.
Same with the primers but don't put them together in the same place. Keep them separated from the powder for obvious reasons.
