No, but I can tell you of the ones I know of.

Detroit Sportsman's Congress
River Bend's Park
Bald Mountain recreation area
William's Gunsight

none of which are really anywhere near Detroit though.

who's 'they'?

the DSC is probably the one closest to Detroit-proper. but I have no idea where you are specifically.

Blue Water Sportsman's Club down in Port Huron is an excellent facility. Not Detroit but closer than some of the other options.

Well thanks guys, maybe one day ill be the guy to put such a locator up. After all I AM an IT tech, although unemployed atm, BUT im educated... :(

Try Island Lk. just east of Brighton if you are on the North or west side of metro area. 25, 50, 100 yd ranges as well as several clay games.

BUT I just noticed its out to 50 yds im looking for atleast 100.. :banghead:

Isn't there one near Howell as you drive down I-96? Might be a DNR range.

I was a member of Blue Water Sportsmans Club when I lived in Port Huron. It was a great facility then and that was only 5 years ago.

It's still there. Island lake shooting range it's in Brighton. It's a slow fire range and you can only load 6 rds, but for $10 you can shoot all day.

An indoor range in Howell just opened behind the Ace Hardware. It's called "Peacemakers", haven't been there yet but have heard good things

I also forgot about the Lapeer Pit. It's a hike, and I don't know what the distances are (as I've never been there), but I hear you can shoot anything/any way you like there. Just drive up to the concrete barriers and blast away.

are you offering to sponsor?

Persons applying for membership in W.W.C.C.A must be sponsored by a current member and also hold membership in the National Rifle Association and MUCC. If you are not a member of either organizaiton we will provide you an application.

Ditto on Western Wayne County Sportsman's Cub, you can google them

excellent facilities and ranges for a ver inexpensive membership fee, say $140 annually.. We moved away last fall and that is about the only thing I miss about Wayne County!!!!

I don't even know why you would really miss that. You live in Hooterville now.

"The Pit" in Lapeer is a DNR owned shooting range, free to shoot at and unsupervised. Lots of the NFA guys like to shoot there.

Please take away some trash when you leave. Everyone else likes to leave theirs. I always take a garbage can with me and try to fill it before I leave
