Diamondback Question... and malfunction

I agree with Jim K and wouldn't use WD-40 on a gun. WD-40 leaves a film that gums up the action. Oil it instead.

I took the sideplate off. No signs of rust or obviously broken parts. I still got it to malfunction with the cylinder out.
