Dick's - Mossberg Whitetail Lightning Combo

I still may go take a look at it since I have a Dick's 5 minutes away and let you know what I think. I havent messed with rifles much so hopefully they have a few other guns in the price range to compare it to.

I love my Mossberg

I own 20 long guns. I bought the mossberg out of curiosity. It is a very fine weapon. I do not agree that a Savage 111 costs the same. My Mossberg came NIB with a checkered real wood stock, bases, and a decent Chinese 3-9x40 scope for $349 at Dick's. I find it to be an excellent value without sacrificing quality. The haters are recycling Internet foolish lies. These are good US-made rifles that group tight out of the box. Fine rifle that outshoots almost everything else I own. Most of my guns are military style however so it should outperform them.

with all the other options available it is senseless to buy a Mossberg. They are simply made so that people who aren't serious about rifles or shooting can say they have a gun. There is not a single rifle made in the US or Japan that a Mossberg is better than.

Why did we have to dredge this back up...horrible rifle, and yes I have handled and shot one, no I don't own one and that is unlikely to change.

Geez for petes sake get a Stevens 200 or Marlin XS7 or XL7 why take the risk with mossberg when you could get either of these two higher quality rifles for the same price.
