I left for work absolutely steaming this afternoon after watching CSPAN2 and the CSPAN thread here. I had to go in an hour early for a safety meeting but when I got to work, I found out the meeting had been cancelled so I had an hour to spare.

Went to Pekin Sporting Goods and picked out a Bulgarian Arsenal SLR. I pick it up tomorrow on the way to work.

The only other time I've impulse purchased a firearm was in Sep/94 - a preban Colt Sporter - I detect a pattern

What is an EBR? I know what an MBR is, but not an EBR.

The same Evil Black Rifle that's a baby killing, politically incorrect, bullet spewing machine of death and destruction. Typically personified by an AR or AK variant, although according to the mass media, almost anything that has a detachable magazine could be considered an EBR I guess.

I plan on adding another AR and a semi auto .308 to my collection within the next few months myself. And plenty of magazines and some reloading gear. Kinda disheartening, it wasn't until recently that I got into firearms from hanging around with some guys at work, and here I am, scrambling to buy stuff for the fear that I might not be able to own it in the future.

Not precisely an EBR. It had wood stocks. But also in the news was a report that the South African government had sent a planeload of supplies to Haitian dictator Aristide that included 150 R1 FAL rifles and 5000 rounds of ammo, which happily arrived too late.

I can't quite afford 150 FALs right now. But I picked up an extra 5k rounds of 7,62mm.

Not today, but soon. Once my Army severance check comes in, I'll be buying an AR, a CETME and a Beretta 3032 Tomcat (for the better half). I'll also be putting some mods onto my SAR-1, such as a new FCG, Kobra red dot scope, and a few other goodies.

I recently bought one and love it. This weekend at the gunshow, I'll be picking up more mags for it and a Saiga .308 if I find one.

The 180B I saw on Tuesday was $650.00.....the other local shop has them at $759.00 That's $100 over MSRP....

Check out the PK-01V red dot sight, as available from FreedomOptics.com. I have one on my AK and MUCH prefer it to the Kobra I used to have. It sits lower and is easier to adjust.
