I just bought a Kimber TLE II used for $620.00. It is in preety good condition and I thought it was a good deal. Tell me what you think? Have I done good for my first 1911 or did I just make a big mistake?

You did very well for the price and the TLE is a great place to start. I own two Kimbers and very happy with both. Get some ammo and start shooting it. Might be a good idea to consider reloading. The 45ACP is a easy round to reload. Welcome to the club.

My second Kimber was a Custom TLE II, bought it back around 2003 and have never looked back. Fine pistol and I've never had problems out of it. I've even shot three white tails with it. Enjoy your new investment.

I'm not a Kimber fan myself but that doesn't mean that they don't make a Hell of a pistol. Good job on buying a good pistol for a great price.

I fired a rental Kimber at French Creek Outfitters. It was pretty dirty and who knows how many rounds went through it. It fired flawlessly. Accurate & reliable. Good luck with yours.

Thanks for all the input, I thought this would be a good 1911 to start with and go from there. I will reload this round, I currently only reload 40 s&w. I have never shoot this gun and hope I will not be disapointed ( I was disapointed in my last purchase, so I am thinking good thoughts). Not to change the subject but is the cz-52 a fun gun to shoot? The ammo is cheap and the guns too. Thanks again and will give a report when I shoot it for the first time.

Good Gun + Good Deal

Again, I hate to sound like a commercial but I think you did VERY good!!!

1911s are classic, handle nice and are reliable ... In My Humble Opinion!

And out of all 1911s to choose from you found a Kimber!!! Kimber is a VERY good manufacturer of 1911s ... did a lot of reading before I bought mine.

I sincerely hope you enjoy it!!!

Take Care and Be Safe!!!
