Well I can not find a functional camera so I do not currently have on the desk here a Brass framed Pietta .44 COlt style something or other.
Sort of recent manufacture (mark is CC and I do not have my chart handy mid to late 200x?) Odd thing is it has the stepped .44 cylinder, but the wide portion of the cylinder has the Navy scene. Another oddity is that dispite being a cheapo brasser it has safety pins on the back of the cylinder. Otherwise it is your basic pietta octagonal barrel .44) "Reb" Actually the wood looks decent under the stain and finish and I am tempted to try chemical strippers on it and refinish it.
Action feels tight, light, and looks good. The brass has irregular staining so I may strip it down to the shine and let it green naturally and evenly. Picked it off a table at a show for a C-note.
I have not shot it yet but that is OK as there are no pictures so it does not yet exist!
