Didn't have a reason when I bought it. Still don't.

But now I can be that guy at the range. Hooray!

Early MKI Desert Eagle with lots of extras

I had thought about getting one in the past and had a list of excuses as to why I didn't want one.
Found one that crossed off every excuse...well, the ones that counted, anways
Wasn't too expensive...only $800, but it came with the original MKI slide, a MKXIX conversion slide, the original .44 MKI barrel, a MKXIX .44 barrel, and a MK XIX .50ae barrel. Thats three barrels and an extra slide
I already reload for .44, so the two .44 barrels killed the "expensive ammo" excuse,
and I had the money at the time.

Already have the .50ae brass on the way, the reloading dies and shellplate have already arrived

And my GF is from Minneapolis, so when she saw "Minneapolis" on the slide, that's all it took to have her blessings, lol

Dang but this thing is....big.

A friend of mine had one in .44 Mag. (bright chrome plated; man that thing was BBQ Bling), and it truly was a pussycat to shoot! We always had a great (though somewhat expensive), time shooting it!

Mine cost twice as much, and came with a third of the barrels...

I have 53% more rail space though.:D

Don't get discouraged. Takes a while to shoot it without it locking up. The least bit of limp wrist, or give, while the recoil springs are working, and it's
loading a new round, and you're locked up. The DE44 was the first pistol I started shooting bulls-eyes with. The DE will cycle like a champ, if you do your job.
And be sure to let the mag hang. If you brace it with your left hand, it will cause a feed jam.

A lot of fun to shoot. Enjoy.

You "need" somewhere between one and maybe four handguns. The rest are just for fun. :)

That's an excellent price for everything you got!

You didn’t mention if you got any, but you will want .50 caliber mags for shooting that caliber.

You probably know not to shoot lead bullets through it, as they will clog the gas system. Stick with JSP or JHP.

And since you reload, H-110 makes for great fireballs!
