I was in a gun shop a few weeks ago and the guy had a springfield M1 Garand for $635 It was a 2.5 mil serial range and had a the 44 barrel on it and lockbar sights. I checked the numbers and the bolt, barrel and reciever all matched up. I allready have a Springfield Garand so I figured I would wait until my next paycheck to pick it up. 600 is a steal for a garand these days. When I went back it had already been sold. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Few weeks ago I saw a Bereta 950(?), the long bbl .22 short model for $190. I wanted it but someone bought it while I was in another part of the store!:banghead:

Never fear, the CMP is floating in Garands right now. $500 buys you a rack grade and $600 a service grade. Shipping times are either now or two months from now depending on which batch your order comes from. No guarantee of a lockbar sight, though.

Yeah, but how did it gauge? $600 gets you a Service Grade with MW <3. Hard to beat! If you can go to the store, you can even pick it out yourself!

Lock and load,

Rusty

Who cares how it gauges! A substantially correct 2.5 mil is worth a lot more than $600. Heck, the lockbar sights alone are worth a nice buck.

Oh well, we can't get them all, eh GarandOwner?
