Die Blank? What is it?

You can get a machine shop to ream it to whatever dimensions you want to make to reload wildcats. There is almost no need for it though. All of the manufacturers have the ability to make whatever caliber dies you want.

Some custom rifle builders will chamber a blank die body using the same reamer they used to chamber the barrel.
Can't say the die doesn't match the chamber then I betcha!

Please explain for all the advantages.
Thanks

I have a 6 PPC bushing style sizer made that way.

Having a die that exactly matches the sole barrel for which you are loading assures an exact fit in the chamber, rather than something made to a generic spec for a caliber tolerance.

Does my shooting require that level of precision? Dear lordie no -lol- but there are likely some benchrest shooters out there for whom that little extra bit of finesse helps their 1000 yard groups?

I load pistol and do not tailor my loads for a specific handgun. The paper zombies at the range don't seem to mind much.
