From what I can gather, the Turner NM can be had in longer lengths, the holes are numbered, option of biothane or leather, and the keepers are "heavy duty." Am I right?
I have a CMP M1 coming to me in a few days, would like to get it something appropriate. I don't know how much "serious" shooting I will be doing with it - by that I mean strapped up, shooting it in matches, etc. Will a mil-spec 1907 be good enough for casual match use? I say "casual" because maybe I will participate in a Garand match once in awhile or something but wouldn't expect heavy, high power-type usage.
If the 1907 is recommended, any experience with El Paso Saddlery's 1907 vs Turner's version? I like to buy Texas-made things when available.
