I was just over looking at Taurus' site and noticed they're now listing the differences between their "2nd series" and "3rd series" - which they're now selling. Also, how do you tell the differences between the different "series"? As far as I know, what they're calling "1st series" was the plain Millennium pistol, the non-"Pro" with an entirely different frame and general design, though very similar to the Pro. Second series would be the three-dot, DAO "Pro", whereas the 3rd series is identical to the 2nd but with the "straight-8" sights and a DA/SA trigger.
Am I missing anything?
Also, if those are the only differences between 2nd and 3rd series, is it possible to get the 3rd series upgrades (specifically the trigger) under warranty, or at nominal cost through Taurus? The DA/SA trigger is quite a bit better than the DAO, and makes the PT111 quite the nice little pistol at a good cost instead of just an affordable "not that nice but does the job" pistol, IMO.
