I was on the hodgdons reloading sight looking up a load for my .38/.357 using imr 700x and one of the loads I can use a 158gr. MEI cast LSWC dia .357 then I was looking in my load book and it showed a plain 158gr. LSWC .358 dia.

My question: what does the MEI stand for?

Also while I have you time does LBBWC mean lead bevel base wad cutter? same as double end wad cutter?

thanks

It's short for the brand name of the cast bullet, which is irrelevent. Any lead SWC bullet of the same weight can be used with that load data.

Yep.
