Could anyone help me out with the differences in the winchester semi auto line? Was wondering about the x-1 and x-2 guns. Have be hoping to get a x-2 for a all around gun and now have a chance to but a x-1 on a private sale. Gun is in good shape and was wondering what is a fair price or should I keep saving for the x-2.

The Super X1 is an older gun that was made (IIRC) in the 70s. From what I've heard it was extremely well built (I don't know all the details so I'll let someone else handle that). So much so that the company actually lost money on the guns. The SX2 is basically a new version of the SX1 but with more cost-effective manufacturing methods. I have an SX2 that has been very reliable and I like it a lot. It has a very soft recoil and isn't difficult or all that time consuming to clean. Everything I've read about the SX1 says that it's a better gun, so I guess the decision would depend on the price of both guns and the condition of the SX1.
