Different Glock 19 Models?

It wasn't rocket science or some dark art.

In the OP's link for the Bud's ad, the 16th bullet point down:

ADDL INFO:Made in the United States

Perhaps finish wasn't the word I was looking for, I was referring to domestic manufactured Glocks not being treated with the Tennifer process due to the issues with cyanide and obtaining the EPA certificates.

My understanding is that the GA manufactured G19's slide are treated with the Melonite process. They are just different types of ferric nitrocarborizing processes

Glock hasn't used Tennifer since 2009 or 2010, if I remember correctly. They went to a gas nitride process, which supposedly is the same end result, but without the cyanide byproduct.

Tennifer

The Tennifer finish is quite good and I hope Glock keeps something as good. I have a Glock with over 15k rounds down the tube that looks close to new. The pistol has had few "presentations" from the holster, but is shot regularly. I've seen use Glocks that looked "dogged". I wonder how many tens of thousands of rounds do you have to shoot to produce that appearance? I've been told of a Shooting Range that has Glock with over 300K rounds and they still have them on the line for rent.
