This question may be a stupid one, but...many of my queries are. In any case, I just bought a used LWRC upper (6.8) and attached it to a Smith and Wesson M&P lower. The gun has been running fine for the most apart, except for two jams. The previous owner said it ran flawlessly. All of my 6.8 ammo is mixed in one ammo can and I believe the jams occurred in magazines where there were different brands and loads of ammo. Could this cause a jam or is it likely that there is some other issue? Many thanks in advance for any help!

NO, if both brands function independenly 100%?
They should still function 100% in a mixed mag.

One thing I do is number my P-MAGs with a permanent marker. If a malfunction occurs, I can note the number. If a malfunction with a magazine occurs more than once, while no malfunctions are occurring with any other magazines, the problem child is either getting repaired or tossed. The numbering makes it much easier to keep track of any issues that come up in the hubub of training, competing, or just plinking.
