Greetings,

Here we go again! (sight)

I already asked that question sometime, somewhere, but I am still unclear on it:

Is there an advantage to get the full lenght sizing/decapping die for the station 1 for a Dillon550B over a dillon die? If yes, what is it exactly?

Thank you

I run two Dillon 550's and have done so for many years. Therefore I am familiar with the operation these presses. However I am not sure of your question. Station number one is for the sizing ,decapping die. You may use any manufactuer's die that has the standard threading at this station. All my pistol dies are Dillon TC dies with the exception of the 44-40WCF. I just like the way Dillon bevels the mouths of their pistol sizing dies to make it easier to insert the case. I load 22H, 223, 22-250, and 308 on my 550 also, and use Redding Dies because in my opinion, they are the best on the market. BTW, I use both full length and neck sizing dies in station one for rifle loads depending on the rifle I am loading. If this doesn't answer your question, send me a PM and I'll try to help you further. Good shooting. :)
