Dillon Day Planner

I am interested in something like the Dillon Day Planner.

What other similar options are there, or would you go another route for a handgun that would be moved about often from vehicles to the house etc.?

I might like it for the few times I might want to conceal and didn't have a belt to carry OWB; like if you're wearing hiking pants or gym shorts.

Not sure what you mean by the part I quoted above. If you have a belt or shoulder holster why not just but it back in the holster when you're going between the car and the house?

I think the Galco Hidden Agenda here is a great product. At least in theory as I haven't used it. As I have no use for it. A holster with a day planner goes with the hidden in plain site school of thought. Carrying around a holster disguised as a day planner like the Dillon is just poor planning, pardon the pun. I am imagining a scenario with that planner where you are carrying a firearm, in a meeting I would guess, in that. Someone asks you for a pen and motions to your "planner" as most planners have pen slots. What then? Ignore you have a planner, shout you don't have pens etc. Can be for a quite awkward meeting.

As far as moving a firearm from a vehicle to house, then back again. I would look at other options. Perhaps a Nanovault or similar locking mechanism. Much cheaper, compact, and secure method of transport than the planners shown so far.
