I just picked up a lee loadmaster and was hoping to use the extra die space for a powder check. would the dillon one work on this or other progressive presses

The Dillon powder check uses a hole in the toolhead for the 'ram' that activates the alarm. I don't know if this will work with your setup, but it is unlikely. If you need more info on measurements, pm me.

I'm sure you could modify the press to use the Dillon powder check. The unfortunate part of the LoadMaster is that the design doesn't allow a powder check and separate seat/crimp stations because priming takes place in station #2. I don't have one, but I thought the powder throw needed to be on station #3 in order to use the chain, but I could be mistaken.

I've been looking at them for months now and the typical recommendation for stations is:
1) univ deprime (or nothing)
2) resize & prime
3) powder throw
4) seat
5) crimp

The nice part of the LM is that the turrets are cheap so you can drill through one and not risk much (I wouldn't be willing to drill through a LNL frame, for example).

That said, reloaders have seated and crimped in the same station for decades so it can be done.
