Why go backwards and Buy a HF tumbler . there Junk. think about a Lortone Rotary. All my been Going since the 1970,s. Good machines only need to be purchases once

I had a Dillon 500 die on me. Unfortunately they no longer had the motors so they offered to upgrade my 500 to a 750. Problem is, the cost was so close to a new 750 I passed. I bought a Barry's 400 in Cabela's green instead and did not look back. I know it's not as big as the one you have hit but is high quality. Cabela's, Graf's, Kempf, Brownells/Sinclair and a few others all sell them in their own color but all under warranty by Berry's. I bought the cheapest at the time.

Kempf seems the cheapest right now. Oh, and they are made in the USA if that matters to you.

Timers are a good idea on dry tumblers to keep from over working the motor. There are dozens shown on Amazon. The type you want is called a "count down" timer.

Timers are not such a good idea on wet tumblers, because caustic cleaning agents are typically being used, and you do not want brass to soak in those chemicals for a long time. You are much better off to simply set an alarm on your smart phone so that they get rinsed right away.

Honestly, if I had been using and having good results with a Dillon tumbler and it broke, I would just call Dillon. If they help you out, great. If not, get out your credit card. Either way, you are back in business.

And to those that say wet tumbling is a better option. Bull Crap! Unless you have a specific reason to wet tumble. Saying its just as easy, Nope. Saying its not messy, Nope. The truth is, it’s a time-consuming pain in the butt. But if you have a reason to go through the trouble, the results are remarkable. If you just love clean primer pockets, great. If you are like me and anneal your match brass every reloading, it gets pretty crusty looking. With just two hours tumbling and another two hours cleanup, your brass will look like new again.

Again, if you have been happy dry tumbling for years, my advice would be to just get another Dillon tumbler. I have been dry tumbling in my Lyman for as long as I can remember. If It dies, midway will have another one here in no time.
