Does anyone use one?

Is it consistent enough for use?

I load for a .32 S&W Long & the small charge bar can't go low enough.
Trying to use Titegroup (2.5 gr) or W231 (2.8-3.2)

I don't wanna buy it only to find out it doesn't work. :banghead:

Thanks all

I load 380 ACP on a Dillon SDB with an x-small charge bar. 3.9 grains Unique. The charges thrown are as consistent as with my Redding 10-X, nominally plus/minus 0.1 grain.

The following may or may not work with the Dillon charge bar but it greatly improved the operation of a Universal charge bar on my .410 bore MEC 600jr loader.

I made and installed a spacer in the charging cavity to move the cavity closer to the center of the feed and discharge chutes. Even though W296 meters well, the charge for .410 was relatively small for what the charge bar was designed for. By adding the spacer and moving the cavity to the middle of the chutes, consistency of the charge improved greatly.

If necessary, this may work with the Dillon x-small charge bar. I have not looked at the x-small charge bar to see if it can be easily modified as the load I use works well.

PM me if you have questions or additional interest. Hope this helps.

I'm suprised you are having issues.

I just loaded a bunch of 380 with 2.9gr of Winchester 231 and it actually would have went a lot lower - using the regular small powder measure bar. I think when I tested it, it would do about 2.2 at the lowest.

I did end up buying a x-small bar just to have but the regular small powder measure should do 2.9 of Winchester 231 without an issue...

I have one but haven't set it up yet. I wouldn't imagine they are terribly different than the other bars. I agree that the small bar will go down to 2.7-2.9 or so.

Ya, 2.9 gr of W231 works well with the standard small charge bar.
That's for 32 H&R magnum.
Sorry if I gave an incomplete thought there.

Where I have issues is loading 32 S&W Long.
1.9-2.1 gr of Titegroup
2.1-2.4 gr of HP-38
2.4-2.7 gr of Universal - if I ever find some again

As you can see these are all very small charges & my Dillon measure with the small bar doesn't go low enough.
Seems like I'll have to invest in the ex-small bar.
(and at Dillon's prices, it is an investment.)

Hondo, I kind of freaked on the price myself. But as I'm now loading lots of .380 for my dad and about to start loading .32 ACP for myself, I figured it would pay itself off.

My Bullseye load is above .3 cc, so standard measures work okay on my 32 SWL. It is the AA#5 load in my 32 H&R that caused me to go with the micro disk by Custom Cast. I had a Dillon measure and x-small bar briefly but found it required a Dillon press to run it.
