But range brass is usually fired brass with an inert primer, no?

They are not knowledgeable.

They see a shell and do not understand it has therefore been fired and cannot go off again.

I have also seen plenty of live rounds in range buckets.

No one wants to have to inspect every shell to make sure there is not a live one present, or trust someone else's word it is safe.

If you buy a shotgun and disassemble it into all its part, think about the amount of money you will save on gun parts. It would be cheaper than buying all the individual parts.

In fact, you could take two indentical shotguns apart and reassemble them into one gun and have parts left over. Than if that gun breaks, you don't have to go to a gunsmith.

Heh! Never had that problem, turned over $1,000 bucks of brass in the last couple of years, course most of it was .22 rimfire, but there was undoubtly other calibers mixed in.
