You are using the old High Contrast theme. We have installed a new dark theme for you, called UI.X. This will work better with the new upgrade of our software. You can select it at the bottom of any page.
How complete are we talking about? Here is the owner's manual (in Spanish). The pictures are probably sufficient to walk you through the field stripping process.
Unless your doing something extensive or having you Star refinished I would counsel against detail stripping it. It you mess something up, parts are very hard to find.
The end of the guide rod is supposed to uncscrew. I'm sure some of them haven't been off for a lot of years so it may be very hard to get off. I would suggest soaking it in some penetrative oil before you try getting it off.
Thats what I figured. Which end has the threads? I've done might near everything short of a vise and a pair of vise grips on the dang thing. Maybe the previous owner put some 'Lock-Tite' on the threads. Gonna soak it in diesel fuel overnight..If that don't work, I'll put some heat to it. Sure hope I don't break anything.
I'm thinking of trying to slip the end of the spring around the collar and just unscrewing it to get it off. I'm not sure if that will work but it might be the only wya to get mine off!
