Hey all, after looking for a good IWB lefty holster for my G30 I decided to make my own "hybrid" type holster. I bought a bag of leather remnants and a piece of adhesive foam (for a backer) from Michaels along with a box of rivets. I already had the tools I needed and some aluminum Chicago screws, so I made it myself. Here are the tools I used:

In the picture are a scroll-saw, drill-press, heat-gun, dremel and a rotary punch.

Here is the "hardware"- the rivets and Chicago screws:

Here is the finished holster: (You'll have to excuse the sharpie lines on the leather:))

Here's my fat-butt trying it out:

I made the clips adjustable to 3 different heights.

How's the comfort when seated? I like where appendix carry puts my pistol but when I sit my body wants to push the holster and gun up.

I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. I've got to buy some .45 ammo first. All my local Wal-Mart has is that steel cased Tula ammo. I think my next project will be an identical holster for my Kel-tec P11.
