Co-worker has a C&R FFL (but never uses it) and if he can get a discount thru Brownells, I might start bugging him to order a few higher priced items for me. Brass frame for a Vaquero is the first thing that comes to mind.
What kind of discount do they offer for FFL's?

Yeah, you get dealer pricing from them even with a C&R. The discount varies, but can be pretty substantial on high margin items.

C&R licensees do get the discount.

And a Vaquero frame would require an 01 FFL, so you would not be able to order it for your friend. Even if it was legal for them to send it to you, it would not be legit for you to transfer it to your friend. As a group, we are not allowed to order firearms for transfer to another.

I believe he's talking about a grip frame, not the main frame for the pistol, the grip frame isn't a controlled item, it bolts onto the frame, if Brownell's has it, then a C&R should be able to get it with no problem.

Both Brownells and Midway offer a discount for a C&R. The % will varry from item to item and the only to really tell is to hit the website

Oh, yeah, baby, I get the oh-tree discount!

Even if I didn't like cleaning cosmo off relics, I would get an 03.

The discounts are the primary reason I got my C&R.

Why impose and be a burden to your friend? C&Rs are relatively inexpensive. Get one yourself, you'll be pleased with it.

Oh, ok. Guess that shows how much I (don't) know about the Vaquero.

Me too.

Then the UPS man started delivering guns to my door......

The rest is history (along with most of my disposable cash)

Yes you can get the discount, I do and see it when I log in or know the trick to decoding the catalog.

I did some shopping recently and my discount was up to three times what midway sold them to me for.

It was three bore snakes and a pound of heat control paste. All items were cheaper as was shipping even *with* the NRA roundup.

Brownells has some neat one of a kind stuff and I will shop there but I will compare them critically, like every other purchase I make. Mostly...usually.....:banghead:
