Do I NEED a Sig 238 (.380) if I already have this?

After looking at the thread that was posted above, I may go ahead and get the Sig only because I'd rather not shoot this FI very much. Could be hard to find parts for it. It seems to be one of the early ones, serial number of CPA006xxx

The link also gave some very good information on the history of the little gun. What is certain [now] is that it was made in the early to mid 1970's. It may not be worth a WHOLE lot, . . . but it is definitely a unique pistol. :)

I have a Star SA Super in .380 (at least until I ship it away to a new home this afternoon). I've also owned a couple of different Colt .380s. One Government model and a Mustang II Plus. My Star was noticeably more accurate than bolt Colts. I suppose this is due to the fact that the barrel locking arrangement was a bit more involved than the Colts.
Can't imagine the Sig is going to be any more accurate than the Colts.

Not sure how accurate your Spanish pistol is, or how reliable it is. Based on shooting ability alone, though, I don't think you'll be any more impressed with the Sig.

My advice is to buy the Sig any way. :)

Good advice (and post) Matt. :D

My little FI is quite good on accuracy, actually.

The only thing I'd like to do next is to find some Hornady Critical Defense rounds for it. SOOOOOOOO hard to find right now, though.

Well, I decided to put a Sig P238 on order. All black with Rosewood grips. ;)

Don't know how many pistols you own, but you've got that niche covered. You might buy a different gun that meets a different need.

I for one am not all that nuts about that sig anyway.

For .380 carry, I can't imagine a better choice than the little imported Star. Nifty gun. I tried to pry one away from a friend; he refused to give it up. It's one gun I've long lusted after that I never owned.
