i had a question earlier about the nova(where to get other barrels). i am assuming for the moment that there arent to many otherways to get the barrel i am looking for so here is another question. i was told that i could get a very good price on my nova with both barrels. so i ask for some models that meet my criterea.
12ga, synthetic stock, semi auto, easy to find barrels, NOT remmington.

will be used for mostly turkey, deer, sometimes small game

thanks in advance

One can buy a wood stocked gun, adjust the stock to fit them. Remington, Winchester, Mossberg, Beretta.

Some good values are the Combo guns, two barrels, again with wood stocks to adjust stock to shooter.

Barrels are available for the classics - guns that have been out for a bit. Getting more difficult to find the fixed choked bbls - I really like these.

Folks are into hacksaws and whacking bbls...
Leave the bbls alone and go buy some conduit and new hacksaw blades I say...
Less expensive, no worries with BATF, and who cares if you mess up a conduit?

These Classics can be had used, I tend to prefer the older ones anyway. Syn stocks have their place, they do NOT afford the ability to adjust stock to shooter.

Synthetic Stocks can be bought aftermarket, used for a task, and wood ones put back on.

Now when a person actually gets a gun to fit, gets training/ lessons, practices skills...

..and finally get the disposable income for a dedicated gun...with the knowledge gained - informed decisions can be made about a syn stocked gun for turkey, waterfowl, deer...

I got folks using wood stocked 1100 in 20ga , 26" fixed Skeet or IC bbls for HD, deer, doves, quail, rabbits, duck,...

Too many using 870s and 1300s combo guns for everything in 12 bore.

The best gun on the market that meets all of your criteria is the Winchester SuperX 2. Get one, you won't regret it.

Out of pure curiosity, why not Remington?

Asside fron that, I'd say Winchester 1300, or Mossberg 500 on the low end. Winny X2 on the higher end.

Just personal preference. I like the Browning/Winchester better than the Remington 11-87.
