I don't know Oleg. I just got my fiveseven this past weekend. Have you checked the Fivesevenforum ? A lot of good info there reguarding these two firearms. I read a post that stated that the coating was laquer and was put there to aid in extraction of the round. It seems from what I read it is that the lack of coating that causes issues and no, it takes reloading (tumbling) the brass several times for it to come off to any degree. I know I am scratching the surface here on this topic so please feel free to do a bit of reading in the link provided.
It is my understanding that the laquar coating on the rounds do wear off after 1-2 reloads. Now, the coating is necessary for the PS90. However, U can continue to reload the casings for the 5-7 handgun.
That is what I have been told by reloaders. There was some discussion on this at the FN Forum lately (www.fnforum.net ) - and some disputed the issue about the PS90. They claimed they would test it themselves, but they never came back and stated the results.
From prev postings by experienced reloaders, I believe it is true about the PS90.
