Woods carry is a Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 Mag.

I had a Taurus .357 Protector (I think) that made a good BUG (pocket carry.)

I carry an old Smith and Wesson pre-Model 37 from 1956-57 in a pocket holster. i get a kick out of carrying a gun that was made in the same year I was, lol. Sometimes I back it up with a 3 inch Model 36 on the ankle, sometimes its a Glock 19 carried IWB. But, the Airweight is always with me.

Most of the time either a Colt Commander 45 or a Kel-Tec P-11 but on occasion I carry a S&W model 36 with 158 gr LSWCHP. (Mayby 10% of the time that I carry)

Depends on wether or not I want to let the 36 out of the box for a while that day.

I alternate depending on where I am going. However, my .45ACP S&W 325pd (4 inch barrel) carries well with an IWB holster. I can wear it under a heavy polo shirt and it tucks up well. The fact that it is 28oz loaded helps as well. The full moon clips give a quick reload...a little harder to carry than a clip...but not much.

When I am not carrying my G26 I carry:

A) a 3-inch Ruger SP101 with a trijicon sight

or

B) a S&W 638 Airweight Bodyguard

BUG is a NAA Mini-Revolver with .22 Magnums.

I've tried a number of guns, but I always go with my 340pd (Scandium) Smith revolver. It's hard to beat carrying 11 ounces of .357Mag power!! Ocassionally, if I'm heading over to the "other side of the tracks", I will pack the 329PD with full load .44mag. It's actually amazingly easy to carry.
I don't feel the need to carry a SA with 13-15 rounds....if I can't get it done in 5 or 6 (or get to a safe area), I'm in trouble anyway.

"Wheel guns" are towed behind vehicles; too big to carry. ;)

I carry and otherwise use several revolvers, so the singular nature of your post puzzles me.

Ruger SP101: I have several of these; the most-often carried has a 2.25" barrel, is chambered in .357 Magnum, and it is presently loaded with 145-grain Silvertip Hollowpoints, a magnum load. This is a back-up gun at work, and can be a back-up or "primary" when on my own time.

S&W Model Model 19: 4" barrel, loaded with the same Silvertips at the moment, but I need to shop for fresh magnum ammo soon, and will see what it likes. This is a new sixgun, and largely untested.

Ruger GP100: I have several of these, mostly 4", but also 3", 5", and 6". The one that I have owned the longest, since 1990 or 1991, has usually been loaded with Federal 125-grain JHPs. As that load seems impossible to find nowadays, I am going to try Gold Dots in various bullet weights.

For the last several years, I have mostly carried the same SIG P229 pistols on my own time that I use at work, on duty. The SIG factory sights have been working well with my aging eyes, until this year, causing me to default back to my revolvers, with which I point shoot better than autopistols. (I did NOT say "hip" shoot; I said "point" shoot; there is a difference!) Getting old is not fun. Of course, I kept carrying my SP101 snubbies through it all, for well over a decade now, regardless of what else I was carrying.

Edited to add: Ah, just realized I had replied to a necro-post.

Yes. I have several revolvers,..both SA and DA,...and I carry whichever ones meets the need,...or suites the mood.

I also have semi autos that I carry. For instance,..my go everywhere carry every day is a Keltec P3AT,..or on occasion,.. it's big brother,..the P-11. Sometimes I carry a Firestorm Mini Thunder in .45 ACP,...again,..depends on the need,... or the mood I happen to be in.

Yes, either a 10-8 4in or a Security Six in 4in. Soon it'll be a 2.5in Dan Wesson 14 service with a 15-2 barrel on it.

ruger carry

i carry a ruger GP100 4 inch stainless chambered in .357 mag. it has tru glo fiber optic sights, crimson trace grips, and i carry it in a simply rugged leather pancake holster IWB. I like the extra weight and heft of the gun, I'm a pretty big guy so I dont have any problem hiding it, even in t shirt weather. I have found low hanging hawaian style t shirts work perfectly in the summer.

I have carried a couple different J Frames (36, 49, 640) and a Colt DS in pocket holsters all with 38 special. I have also carried open a Colt Python (357), Dan Wesson 15-2 (357), S&W M10 S&W (38 Spl), M63 (22lr), Ruger Security Six (357) and S&W 327 Night Guard (357).
