I went shooting on Sunday with the new handloads in .45, .38/.357 & 9mm. A fellow with a Beretta 92 showed up, put 7 shoot-'n-see targets up and proceeded to empty 7 magazines, one in each target. It was about 1 shot per second until all of them were empty. He politely asked for a cease-fire and put up 7 more targets over his 7 used ones and returned to the line to reload. 7 more full mags, rapid fire and he was done.
I politely asked if he reloaded and he said "no". I said that I would police his brass if I could take it home and he agreed.
I was able to pad the stockpile with about 215 more rounds of once-fired Winchester for my future use. Not much else there but I came home with all that I shot too. It's about 450 rounds of mixed brass.
I also mined about 10 pounds of lead from the berm when I was the only one there. Gotta love the free outdoor range.
