Do you go to the range alone?

I go to the range in part to be alone. I have my own range and the privacy is nice. I have gone quite often to the public range by myself....but rarely end up that way.

If I want to work on my shooting and get some serious practice , I like going by my self, but nothing beats the comraderie(sp?) offered by like minded individuals getting together for a good time.

Go on and join the club and shoot alone. 1) it gives you a place to practice. 2) some clubs have cook outs in the summer so it is a good place to meet other people with similar interests 3) introduce yourself to others when you practice and there is an opening to do so. 4) compete and introduce yourself to others.

Good luck.

Depends on the time of day. Saturday is play day, so I start off with the ConTact match (simialr to IDPA) where there will be 4-10 of us....depending on whether the temps are above or below freezing.
Then it's over to the skeet field and some more companionship while we make the stages. That is anywhere from 2 to 6 usually, with the attendant BSing between rounds.
Then I will go over to the pin range and practice alone until the crew shows up for the afternoon shoot. By the time we finish that it is around 1500 and time to go home and clean guns and perform Honey Doo's.
Like I've read in the previous posts, either way works for me...depending on the goal. I like the fact that I have the option.
