I dont know, I'm in my 6th hour of owning my shiney new 1858 New Army... and quite frankly... I dont like the grip! It's odd for me to hold, and it's pretty slick from the grease Cabela's packed it with (I'm workin on cleaning that up). I imagine once I'm shooting, I'm afraid of losing the gun and it flying off

Anyone here share the same feeling?

Sorry, I love the way that the 1858 fits my hand. It just seems to naturally line up and point.
My hunting partner on the other hand prefers the Colt 1860 for his hand.
You should probably buy a couple of different BP revolvers to try this out.:neener:

Alot of peole never liked the Remington grip's and in the old days there was an adator made to allow for bigger grips. It screwed on to the bottom of the but plate and had flares on both sides to hold the fatter grips. I didn't like it at first but now it seems to fit my hand just fine.
Always clean your gun inside and out before firing the first time, Mike
