Do you know what this is?

From the little I know about such guns I would say you have a HIGH dollar German drilling that is very good quality made. :what: Just a guess but I would say worth $2000-$4000. Maybe more, maybe alot more. Not knowing the exact make and history is a problem. Some one here may come up with something on this gun, but if not you may try here.

I would bet one of these guys can ID this gun for you.

Kruppscher Stahl translates out to Krupp Steel. Good stuff.

As Kudu states, this is a drilling, Germanic in style and probably made in Germany, though some came out of Austria too.

Worth a good bit of money, though the shotgun chambers may be for the old 2 9/16" shell.

The rifle barrel could be for a number of cartridges, the most common in 8 mm would be the 7.92X57mm that was the military cartridge for Germany,1898 to 1945.

Many of these came from Europe in duffle bags ca 1945-50.

Having a good smith go over this before shooting it is a good idea.

HTH....

I agree with Kudu. It appears to be a higher grade (at least highly embellished) drilling. Trying to guesstimate a price is outside of my expertise, but I would expect it to be up there.

The link provided by Kudu is for the folks at "The Double Gun Journal". If they can't tell you what you've got, then no-one can.

The pictures don't really do it justice. I am going to post on the Double Gun site and see if anyone else can help me with this.

The one you have is in the most common configuration, i.e. SxS w/rifle barrel under it. A friend had one in the same config. and as I looked up info for it, that's what I found. His wasn't anywhere near as nice as yours and his was worth $1,500+, definately check on Double Guns for more info.

I think you'll find that yours will be worth 3K+ with the style and engraving.
