Do You Like Your Armscor M206 .38 Special?

I have seen the Armscor 2" .38 Special advertised for under $300 new.

Is it as good as the Rock Island Armory 1911 in functionality ? The 1911 has been praised for its operational abilities, at a cheap ($400 give or take) price.

Ordered one, took it apart, and refused to shoot it after seeing how it locked up.

Mine seemed to lock up ok. Fit & finish left a little to be desired. Diffidently not S&W quaility but not bad for the price. Had one new, traded it off unfired for something else though.

I keep wanting to grab one of the 206s or the 4" M200.

My LGS recently had a M200 priced at $229, but I already had something else on layaway and had to pass. The one I looked at bad a surprisingly decent trigger.

The next time I see either a M200 or M206 in stock, I'm gonna grab it.

is it the colt lock up system you don't like or what? what about it specifically did you not like about the lock up?
