DOB for Colt King Cobra

Can anyone give me the year of manufacture for a stainless King Cobra 4", serial number VK76XX? I can't find the dates for any colts made after 1978.

The publicly available Colt serial number references end in 1985.

Your King Cobra was made after that.

To get a production date, call Colt during normal business hours and they will give you the date over the phone, but NO other information on it.
