Does a 3.5" chamber bead sighted 20" 870 barrel exist

The local shop has a used 870 3.5" and it has a bead sighted barrel on it that is 20" is is a fairly good deal but I can't make out the barrel markings do to somebodies heat sheild on it. I don't think they even exist so for that reason alone I will not buy it but if they exist I will go through the effort of asking them to take the heat sheild off.

Haven't seen one, sounds like a replacement barrel and not quite kosher with the Super Mag frame.

Might stll be a good deal, there's a lot of shotgunning(Like 99%) that can be done as well with 2 3/4 and 3" shells. What are they asking?

It is a good deal dave at around 200 bucks with an extension and heat sheild (i would throw it out) as well as an eagle butstock round carrier and they put a darker finish on the factory furniture. But I have enough 870's that unless it had an appropriate barrel I don't really have a use for it. I agree that I would probally never need a 3.5 inch but that would actually probally be the only reason I would buy it.

$200 is a decent price for any 870 these days. And, one can always sell off that heat shield to someone you do not like.

More seriously, I've some long term projects that involve the acquisition of more 870s.

I'd like one with full rifled barrel and scope, to really see what I can wring out of it and to invest in venison futures.

And I'd like a Special Field type, with a 26" fixed Skeet choke, ringtail type forend with checkering, and a straight grip stock. A long cone, good trigger and pad, this would be the Perfect Grouse/Quail/Woodcock Gun, and fun to carry on an SC course.7/8 to oz loads for the up close and fast stuff this is for...

While I've been immune to the lure of subgauges, I have to confess that 28 guage WM sounds quite intriguing.

And by the time I get all these, I'll think of some others....
