I was given a couple of American Arms PX-22 pistols.
One of them is new in the box and the other had a couple of mags of ammo shot thru it. I'm hoping to sell them. They both still have the box and all the papers, including the registration papers (not that they will be of any use)

I know it's a .22 semi, but that's about it. It looks like it holds 7 rounds but I haven't taken the time to mess with them.
I read that American Arms went bankrupt a few years back.
Will these become collectable?
Up here we call pistols like these throw aways because they don't seem to be a high value gun, and at .22 cal they aren't going to do much damage.
If it's a junk gun tell me so. It isn't going to break my heart.
Are they worth trying to sell? If it is I'd like to know

I believe they were a copy of the Iver Johnson TP-22, but I'm relying on memory. If I recall correctly, American Arms purchased the rights to the TP-22, but it's been quite awhile ago.

I have a TP-22, and for a small pocket pistol, it's very accurate. Like most small .22 semi-auto pistols, it's particular about the brand of ammunition it will feed.

Hope this helps.

They aren't a high quality gun, but owners generally like them because they offer such a small concealable package and for the most part work "well enough".

I've seen them sell for anywhere from $100 to $250. I've had one for several years, and it's been reliable and surprisingly accurate out to realistic ranges.

I doubt these will ever reach a collectable status, but people enjoy owning little plinkers like the PX22. Here's one with another little .22 Walther TPH, maybe the master copy of the clone.
