SureFire Integrated Forend Shotgun WeaponLight
618fa_full.jpg

This replacement forend includes a built-in nine-volt tactical light with an upgraded 1.625" Millennium Series military specification Type III hard-anodized bezel/lamp assembly with Pyrex lens. Two separate switches are integrated into the forend: a pressure sensitive activation pad for momentary light use and a constant On/Off rocker switch. A MN10 high-output lamp assembly is standard, providing 125 lumens of light for one hour. The optional MN11 ultra-high output lamp assembly can also be installed, boosting output to 225 lumens for 20 minutes of runtime.

SureFire Integrated Forend Shotgun WeaponLights feature a shock-isolated bezel/lamp assembly and a machined barrier between the lamp and battery stick to prevent the battery stick from slamming into the rear of the lamp during recoil. Batteries within the battery stick are separated by a fiber washer and held within a plastic sleeve as further insurance against recoil-related failure.

Batteries - One SureFire lithium SF323AC 9.0 Volt with 10-year shelf life (contains three SureFire SF123 batteries separated by fiber washers and held together by a plastic sleeve)
Lamp assembly/Runtime - SureFire MN10 xenon gas-filled lamp assembly with 125 lumens output for 60 minutes, or 225 lumens for 20 minutes with optional MN11 ultra-high output lamp assembly
Construction - CNC machined aerospace-grade aluminum with MilSpec hard anodizing, impact-resistant polymer housing, Pyrex lens window for improved scratch and heat resistance, shock-isolated bezel.
Flawless white beam, always in focus

Welcome to THR.

Yikes! $285 !!

Not me, I am still in the dark ages , I use a bone stock 870 , wood and blue, most often stoked with slugs. I paid $174 for my last NIB 870. then I bought LOTS of ammo...

I are old.

I do have one of those on my Robarized 870. I use the hi output 225lumen bulb. It matches nicely with the Hogue 12" butt stock. Lewis Awerbuck thinks it's 'the heat'.! :)

the surefire is a real nice light, and it would be the only weapon light i'd put on my 870. but when setting up an 870 for HD the first "bolt-on" should be lots and lots of ammo and range time.

I have a 623FA (6 volt) on my Mossberg. If you want a light, and you don't mind the price, it's the way to go.

I had a Surefire Forend on my 870. Its a really nice quality forend. For a weapons light on a shotty. IMHO Surefire is the way to go. Keeps the shotty neat and clean, no wires or extra switches to play with. Everything is simple.
If I were to buy another shotgun light the SF would be the one!

It is the only way to go, IMHO.

but when setting up an 870 for HD the first "bolt-on" should be lots and lots of ammo and range time.
[devil's advocate]Unless of course, you can't see... [/devil's advocate]

I have it on my personal 870. During night shooting several years ago I set up jungle course and had the officers do it with the dept. shotgun and Mag lights and then with my 870. The dept. finally found the money to put the lights on the dept. issued shotguns. These work great and worth every penny.
