Do any of you here ccw a full size M&P? I think that it is one of the most comfortable guns I have ever held, and its a joy to shoot. I am not as big of fan for the compact size though, so that is why I would take into consideration buying the full size.

My daily carry rig is a full sized M&P40 in a CCC Looper IWB hoster. The Looper does not appear to be comfortable by viewing it, but I can tell you that when it is positioned at a 4 O'clock position I forget that I am wearing it. (Pleasing to the eye and pleasing to the rump are two different things. :) ) Mine is configured with an FBI cant and the M&P just disappears under a loose shirt.

With cool/cold weather clothing (bigger shirts, jackets, etc) I CC a FS M&P in 9mm. I bought a M&Pc and I never warmed up to it and traded it for a Glock 20SF - just didn't feel right, but the full size M&P feels better than any gun I own.
M&P 9mm in cool weather and Kel-Tec P11 or P-3AT in warm weather.

p.s. - The M&P rides in a Fobus roto holster

Thats good to hear. I forgot to mention that im 6'3" and 280lbs so if theres truth to a big guy can carry a big gun than maybe Ill look into getting one.

My roommate regularly packs his full-size M&P9 roughly 4:30 in a Comp-tac. Works out well for him, but he's thinking of getting a compact version because the lack of that extra bit of slide length would help in comfort, and the smaller grip would be less conspicuous and allow him to CCW in a wider variety of clothing.

YMMV.

I cc'd a fullsize M&P40 for almost a year. Then I sold the gun to a friend.

The M&P is an excellent gun and I plan to buy an M&P45 in the near future.

I was CCing my fullsize M&P until I sold it for the compact. I'mnot a big guy so the fullsize was harder for me to conceal. That's the only reason I went compact.

Well I bought an M&P compact today. It was impulsive, but at $350 I could not give it up. It shoots great and feels good, however I think that the full size still feels better in my hand. Whats more important though? I gun that you can carry comfortably all day, or one that feels slightly better in the hand but is half as comfortable to carry

If it's not comfortable to carry , you won't. I carry a full size 1911 and it has never bothered me.

I used to carry a M&P9c (still own it/shoot it), now a full sized Taurus PT38S... The M&P is a great shooting gun and in my experience width makes more of a difference in comfortability than overall size, in which case if I had to do it over again I'd have bought the full size. I say go for it.

I carry a M&P full size 9mm from time to time. Easier in the winter with the clothing types but I have carried it in summer, under a untucked Hawaiian type shirt without problems. Get a good holster and good belt, that really is needed with the larger guns.

Yup, depending on the weather but either small of the back or right hip.

I do not have a full size .45 but I regularly carry an M&P45c in a Custom Carry Concepts IWB. An untucked tee shirt will hide it very well. With the proper holster, I have carried at one time or another 1911s, Beretta 92s and Sig 220 and 226 IWB with no particular discomfort or other issues.

Well tomorrow I am picking up a full size M&P40. Hopefuly I have no regrets. Even if I decide it's to big to carry I have plenty of other carry options. Now to search for the right holster.

I CC a full-size M&P .40. It doesn't conceal super well for me, but I'm not really concerned about it, as it's legal for me to open carry, and I'm not using a concealment holster. I would prefer the compact models sans beavertail.

I CC a full-size XD45, which is no smaller, in a Galco Stow-n-Go.:) The weight requires the right belt; otherwise, it's not a big problem. Pocket-carrying an Airweight take a bit less effort, though.

I really like the M&P, also, and if I were looking to buy a defensive pistol it would be on my consideration list.

I routinely carry mine in a KyTac (www.kytac.net) IWB BraveHeart or their new "Peerless Pancake" in complete comfort and concealment.

Ok I will add my two cents.

Carry weapons were never designed to be comfortable. There were only designed to be comforting when needed.:D

Sounds like a design deficiency to me. There's no reason why carry weapons can't be designed to be comfortable.

It's a mental thing. Many people find any gun uncomfortable except maybe a mini-revolver. (Personal comfort) Then, there are people like me that are never comfortable carrying a sub-standard gun and/or caliber. (Capability of the gun)

With a proper belt, holster and mindset, nearly any practical gun can be carried comfortably.
