Does anyone have an AR that has NEVER jammed?

I have an Armilite, RRA and a Beowulf. Even have a Daewoo...none have ever jammmed. I have never used Wolf crap ammo either.

I own two AR-15's that have never jammed. My first one is a Colt SP-2 Carbine which I have had for about four years and a recent addition is a 20 inch HB DPMS AR-15 rifle that is less than one year old. Both shoot only my reloaded ammo and neither have jammed on me. I take them both down and clean and lube throughly after one hundred rounds fired, and run a 223 caliber Bore Snake through them after every range session. Both are keepers.
:)

In my experience, most of my AR jams have been attributed to magazines. Cutting corners and buying those cheap no names out of the box at the gun show led to rebuilding the damn thing to make it work properly.

Yes, several.

16" middie I built around a Sabre Defense barrel
16" middie using a BCM upper and BCG
10.5" using a modified CMMG upper
16" carbine chambered in 5.45 (box stock S&W upper)

The one I did have jam was a Delton upper, but no fault of the upper. I purposely shot Wolf ammo and let the carbon build up and harden in the chamber to see what would happen.

BTW, truth be told...I've had more issues with AK's jamming.

Bushmaster upper and lower, zero failures in 5 or so years.

*I've failed to seat magazines but that certainly doesn't count as a failure of the gun.

Every other AR I own has had a failure of some kind.

That said, it's interesting that the Bushmaster pictured here is factory assembled, and all my other ARs were built up by me :)

The availability and popularity of "kit building" is in my opinion why we hear of higher failure rates of ARs. There are simply lots of them out there not assembled correctly. or assembled using mismatched and ill fitting parts.

Bushmaster XM-15E2S... several thousand rounds including a few days in an urban carbine class, and a few prairie dog towns. The only thing I did to the gun out of the box was stake the gas key and castle nut. No failures yet.

Last year, I built a KISS type rifle - DPMS lower, RRA mid-length lightweight chrome lined A2 upper. I don't have nearly the round count as I do through the Bushmaster (guessing a thousand), but no failures in this one either.

Last but certainly not least... I have an LMT Standard Patrol Model. No problems to report yet / roughly 750 rounds so far...

I clean them, but don't baby them... keep 'em oiled and use good magazines and they will work just fine.

Jams

Many do not consider the M-14 to be an AR, but it is.

Now my experience with it was with a government issued rifle, but during all training that I had; red dust, grit and grime in Gawga, swamp ooze in Noth Carolinah, and snow and ice in the Pacific North West, the rifle came through.

I have to say my M-16 AR never failed me once either. But I did keep it clean.
The previously mentioned guns actually became dirtier in training than
under combat conditions!
We covered ours with towells when boarding the helicopters, so we got sandblasted, but the guns didn't. We also had a little plastic, almost shotgun shell -looking cover for the flash supressor that would blow away on firing.

I might add that a jam with the -14 would be much easier to deal with than with the enclosed mechanism of the -16.

Colt AR-15A2: don't remember any malfs in the few hundred rounds I put through her.
FN M16A4: numerous stoppages including FTF and FTE, in the several hundred rounds I fired in ITB.
M4: I don't remember. Since I fired thousands of rounds through this weapon, that would seem to indicate malfunctions were few. Actually, I do remember taking a knee to clear my weapon, so it did happen. I expect some malfunctions when I'm firing a few hundred rounds a day.
M4: FTE if more than a few rounds were fired and not dripping wet. No malfs if enough CLP was on the rifle to splatter me every time I fired, or if I only fired a few rounds.
AR15 carbine: a few malfs.

I don't have a problem using an AR-15 for defense, but that's really more because of good ergonomics and lots of practice with the platform.

Bushmaster Patrol Carbine - no jams at all over three years and about 1K rounds.

Ruger Mini-14- no jams with factory mags. A couple of cheap aftermarket mags didn't function for diddly.

CMMG upper on a Stag lower. Upwards of 1500 rounds and not a single malfunction. I've taken other's advice and keep it well lubed.

my bushmaster m4 xm15e2s, about 1500 rounds and counting mostly reloads, no problems at all, like diver said keep it well lubed

Does anyone have an AR that has NEVER jammed?

30 years military active and reserve mixed.
20 years active L.E. when not being called up for above.
Still shooting and teaching.

If you shoot enough, eventaully you will have some sort of malfuntion.
Even bolt guns can malfunction.

The AR platform that seemed to have the least malfunctions was an old M16A1 made by the Hydramatic Division of General Motors. After finding 14 magazines that it liked.

The worst was a piece of junk AR (CAR-10) clone that I had back in the mid 1980s. I can't remember who made it, probably Olympic, but it never fired a whole mag without a malfunction no matter how much money I poured into it.

My Bushmaster has only had one serious jamming problem with brass ammo. It was a couple boxes of Remington UMC I bought at Wally World, and a FTF would happen every 5 or so rounds, very frustrating. I then ran a couple boxes of PMC 55-gr through it and it was totally fine. I attribute that to the ammo.

Otherwise, the only FTFs have occurred when using Wolf, which I no longer run in my AR. Runs like clockwork with decent ammo.

Me. Stag M4gery. Close to 1K through it without any malfunction.

Others:
Ruger P89. Never a problem, several thousand and quit counting

Ruger MKII (c. 1985) just recently aquired, no jams by me in about 400 rounds

SA XD 40 V-10 600+ without a single malfunction

Marlin 60- never ever a problem.

Jams:
Kimber CDP Pro. One FTF on first mag right after purchase. No cleaning or lube, just straight out of the box. Over 1200 without a malfunction since then and proper lubrication.

Sig P232-Likes to be lubed, if dry will stovepipe, FTF, etc. No issues in 200+ rounds. Don't shoot it much as it is the wifes.

Ruger 10/22

Colt HBar Comp/Match Target
I guess it's about 10 or 11 years old with many many rounds through it, even some of the cheap wolf ammo, without a jam yet

Mine jammed because I used bullets I had loaded for my TC Contender in it, and the OAL was a little long. Not the fault of the gun. Runs factory stuff great.

My Stag 2H hasn't hiccuped, but it's a fairly low round count so far(about 2,000). Brass cased 223 is getting too expensive to shoot, so usually my Siaga is busy getting fed wolf or one of the bears when I feel the need.

My m4 has never jammed, though my 700 or so rnds is not alot it still runs great.I had 1 light primer strike in those 700 ,ammo problem not gun.

I agree, a mis-match of parts and improper assembly is a big problem with many 'builds'.

I have two Bushmasters that have not failed other than operator induced errors.
