Does anyone know of pictures directly comparing the Glock 26 to the M&P compact?

Nothing seems to turn up with a quick Google search. I was under the impression that the 26 was noticeably smaller, but now I read that they're almost the same.

Would run to Cabela's and check them out in person, but it's a bit of a drive. And I'd inevitably buy something before I was ready.

I'd be interested in that too. I'm facing the same dilemma...currently leaning toward the Glock for reliability.

I can't find pictures right now, but the M&Pc is slightly bigger than the Glock 26/27/33.

A Glock 26 with a flush base magazine is a pretty small gun, but still very reliable and accurate.

Personally I would stick with the Glock 26.

I have both a G26 and a M&P40 compact. Like GunNut said, the M&Pc is slightly bigger than a G26/G27/G33. By luck, I took a pic of my G26 and my M&P40c back-to-back a few months ago for another tread. Here you go, hope it helps. No bad bedspread jokes please.:neener:

That's perfect, thanks. Almost too close to call, size-wise. Will definitely need hands-on research.

Also check out the Taurus Mil Pro they are thinner and shorter then the Glock and have the same Grip length as the M&P the 9mm is 12+1 the 40 and 45 are 10+1

They are all about the same size

specs of the Glock 26 vs the PT111

Mil Pro PT111

Capacity 12+1
Weight: 18.7 oz
Length: 6.125"
Width: 1.125"
Height: 5.125"
Barrel Length: 3.25"
Safety: Firing Pin Block,Manual Safety

Glock 26

Capacity: 10 + 1
Weight: 19.75 oz
Length: 6.29"
Width: 1.18"
Height: 4.17"
Barrel Length: 3.46"
Safety: Trigger/Firing Pin

If you add the +2 round extended mag you will end up having a longer grip on the Glock

Just something to think about ;)

Wow I was surprised in how close the G26 and MP9c are in size, great picture. I was also surprised to see how much smaller the Mil Pro is that the Glock, thanks, Mpanova. I own a PT111 and the grip is way better than the G26 or the M&P9c, of course that is my opinion. My problem with the M&P compacts and the G26, G27 is I have a dangling pinkie when holding them and the Glocks are too thick for me. I would give the Glock & M&P the nod in reliability although my Mill Pro has had no problems. I would go with the M&P for a better grip, a light rail and better ergo's, possibly a better price depending on where you live, but it is all about what works for you.
Good Luck and Be Safe!
