Anyone know of someone who makes and Inside the waist holster for 1911,s with a thumb break or hammer guard? It just gives me an added sense of security. I have been carrying a DA Sig for so long. Kydex or leather is fine.

I had a fairly inexpensive I think Bianchi holster with a thumbreak, it was a good holster but I didn'tlike the thumbreak because it felt like I had to push my thumb into my side too much to snap it open. Standing upit worked just fine but I am not so sure I would be able to make it work if I were in a more compromising position. Just something to think about.

Galco makes them for under $30.00 (I bought mine-ModelWB 248, from Cheaper Than Dirt). As you probably know by now, an IWB holster is hard to find employing a thumb-break.

IWB thumb break? It all depends.

I'm sure you may find others, but Galco makes a holster called the silhouette. It's an ambi holster. The right side strong side can turn around and become an iwb thumb break cross draw for left hand. Buy the left hand model, turn it around to become a left side IWB cross draw for the right hand.
