Does anyone own an H&K USP Compact in .45 ACP?

I have owned one.
They're fat, thick, and heavy. Felt recoil on a compact polymer frame is a sonofabittch. It's like wearing a brick on your side no matter how tight you sinch your jeans and if you intend to carry IWB you'd better go redo your wardrobe with pants in a 1+ size to your waistband.
Not a good CCW at all IMO, there are several other weapons out there that I'd take over it. If you still want a HK gun, go with a P2K or P8. If you have the money

I own one and it is my favorite gun. I carry it in a Milt Sparks Watch Six. The thinness of that holster makes up for the thickness of the slide. I think the recoil is very manageable but YMMV. It is extremely accurate and is 100% reliable.

Go to hkpro.com for more feedback But as far as I'm concerned, the USPc is the finest compact 45 acp on the market today - bar none! Durable, accurate & reliable - what more could you ask for or even want??? Cocked & locked, DA/SA or even DAO or LEM, fine triggers and a great platform!

Thanks for the replies.
I had a USP full size in .40 S&W. I still have a P2000SK in .40. I was contemplating a new pistol in .45 ACP and just don't have the time or inclination to keep a 1911 running. Both of my H&K's have been 100% reliable. I'm sure the USPc in .45 cal would be too.

The HK USP45C is a fantastic weapon and is perfect for CCW. It is not too small, but plenty small enough that it disappears under a t-shirt with an IWB holster. It is not IMO too wide to carry IWB.
The recoil is not bad at all - there is a recoil reduction system in the weapon that works wonderfully. It is extremely reliable and accurate. Put night sights on it and you have a near perfect weapon (assuming it fits your hand).
I carried mine cocked & locked which works very well since the manual safety is in the proper place for a handgun (not where S&W, Ruger and Beretta put most of theirs).
The only drawback I see is that the accessory rail is proprietary, not universal. To put a picatinny railed light on it requires an adaptor, making holster fit an issue. The HK P2000 addresses this, but doesn't come in 45ACP. The new HK45 (or P30, or whatever) will fix this also, but it looks to be larger than the USPC 45.
Overall though... I highly recommend it and it will serve you well.

I used to have the usp45c. It went back to the factory a couple of times (failure to go into battery). I am sure I just got a lemon, but it soured me on hk's.
As for accuracy and comfort, it both were top notch. I carried it iwb in a galco nsaII and it was totally comforable. If it wasn't for the reliability issues of that particular weapon, It would be my favorite.

I have a 45C and a 45T. The Compact is not very compact. If you are ok with the size, they are great guns.
