Does anyone shoot 32 ACP?

You might consider one of the all-time favorites, the Mauser HSc in a .32. Blowback, unlocked...
Took it out to the range a few days ago, accurate to point-of-aim, no-nonsense pistol...They are available from $325 to $600.

P32 A Pleasure to shoot???

Come on, really I challenge anyone to do a 100 rnd range session with a Kel Tek and tell me that their trigger finger is not stinging at least a little :what: .

I am not saying it is unmanagable or innaccurate, but I wouldn't use it to get my wife to like shooting a handgun! I thought the original post was looking for a locked breach 32 that was comfortable to shoot.

I have fired 100 rounds at one trip to the range, but you're right, these little pistols are not meant to be range guns. They are meant to be deep concealment self defense pistols and are not comfortable to shoot for extended range sessions.

I shoot quite a few .32 ACP rounds each year. Mostly all are in my S&W revolvers chambered for the .32 S&W Long. The .32 ACP round works just fine in these double-action J-frame guns, and the ACP loads are much cheaper than .32 S&W Long.

I have experience with the Colt 1903, the NAA Guardian, and the Keltec .32's.

For shootability, the Colt is the pick, but it is unwise to carry one cocked and locked IMO. For carryability, the P-32 wins. The Guardian is about the same volume as the P-32 but it weighs enough more than the P-32 that you can't get away with carrying it in the pocket of a pair of shorts held up by only an elastic waistband. In its defense, though, my Guardian has a better trigger and is more accurate than my p-32. My P-32 has also had reliability issues and required a trip back to Keltec.

Karl, How are those Zastava Md. 70 ??? Are the DA/SA or just SA?? You can't beat an russian made all steel gun, for $99. If they made the same gun in europe or the US it would cost Triple or more. I bought a Polish p64 for $110 and I love the thing.

Very nice little pistol, shoots well. my first ones finish was a little worn but the second looks brand new. My only complaint (minor) is the tokerav style grip attachment. same as the TT-33 only smaller.

I'm considering buying two more.

I own 4 different models in 32 acp:

Kel-Tec P32
HK 4
Walther PP
CZ-83

Incidentally, they are ranked from smallest to largest AND most perceived recoil to least. YMMV.

Only the P32 is locked breech.

The CZ-83 is my favorite handgun in my collection. It has the best ergonomic fit, Mild recoil, high accuracy and a 15+1 rd standard capacity. The DA trigger is long but light. The SA trigger is long and squishy.

J&G Sales carries Sellier & Bellot 32 acp for around $8/50rds. S&B is a heavier, hotter FMJ load.

I routinely take my Colt 1903 PM .32acp and Walther SS PPK/s .32acp to the range for sessions that exceed 100 rounds each. Both are pleasant to shoot! My Ruger SP101 4" .32 H&R Mag produces very mild recoil with .32 S&W Long or .32 H&R Mag.

These are all steel firearms and larger than the NAA Guardian or Beretta Tomcat size pistols which due to their size are not pleasant to shoot in extended range or woods sessions unless one enjoys pain IMHO. :fire:
