Hi, I'm thinking of purchasing an ATI top-folding stock for my Mossy 500 12 gauge persuader. But I hear that, in the folded position, they don't sit down flush with the barrel. I hear that they wobble a bit up and down and/or they don't come down on the barrel but have a 1/2" to 1" gap. My gun doesn't have a heat shield.

Does anybody have (or had) this specific top-folding stock and can let me know how it fit on the gun? Pictures would be awesome. thx.

(Also, I've done my research and am not really interested in hearing whether ATI top-folding stocks suck, or that I shouldn't use a folding stock, or that I should get rid of the Mossy and buy a Remington, or that a 20 gauge should be good enough for me, or that I should buy a Glock instead. Just lookin' to have my question answered. :D thx.)

I'm going to have to disagree with you Acceptable, my fixed pistol grip stock from them is excellent. What bad experience did you have with ATI that made you so bitter about them?

Everything I've read about the top folding stock says that they don't sit flush on top like they should though.

the heatshields invariably scratch shotgun barrels and occasionally come off during recoil. ive personally seen the top folders break and the side folders come open upon recoil from low-base loads. The fixed pistol grip stock is probably the only passable product the company makes.
