Hunters make up the dumbest excuses for why hunts failed. Glare from [insert reflective surface here] being among the dumbest of them.
Wear orange and act like you're deer huntingSquirrels are pretty smart, really. They know when you're deer hunting and a couple may come right in the stand with you. Go home and get a .22 and come back an hour later, you won't see the first one.
You said it. Folks do not give squirrels the respect they deserve. With both how stealthy they can be and how tough of an animal they actually are in respect to how thick their hide is. You can rip a cottontail in half with your bare hands. Try that on a squirrel!
Thanks, gang. I just ordered the gun.
Expect a thorough and detailed range report once it comes in.
I can’t disagree with you on this, but I stand by what I said about squirrels.I have come to learn from my years of hunting and hearing hunting stories that ANY animal that doesn't walk out in front of the hunter and stand perfectly still at short range while waiting to be shot is seen as a smart, wiley, crafty, stealthy, tricky animal. Any animal that doesn't fall over DRT when shot is said to be tough, resilient, bullet proof, etc.
You should be quite pleased with it.
Lol. It's a lot of work putting up a tree stand just to shoot squirrels.Wear orange and act like you're deer hunting
LoL. I generally don't use a treestand deer hunting. The ones I set up for my wife are allowed to be up till February sometime.Lol. It's a lot of work putting up a tree stand just to shoot squirrels.
Not sure I understand what you mean hereLol, if you think squirrels are tough, you may want to reevaluate your hunting choices.
