Does Buds guns sell your account information?

I got an email from a third party asking me to review my last Buds purchase. I'm not being paranoid but I would want my gun purchases to be private. Does anyone have information on this?

CC #s, emails, and names remain private. Certain information is shared for online advertising. Fairly typical policy.

Many companies engage 3rd parties for follow up surveys. I know we do.

They farmed their customer satisfaction survey out to a third party.

Anytime you do internet biz with anyone, utilize your email account to create sub accounts. Then, if you start getting 3rd party emails of any type to that sub account, you know where it came from. Then just delete that sub account. Your main account remains unknown to them, and you get no third party trash.

When you do biz with them again sign up with another new sub account and so on. Once your biz is complete, delete that sub account, and so on.

The third party survey company should be bound by the same privacy policy as Bud's has, if they have any ethics. Our company also hires another to conduct surveys and by contract we require them to abide by our own privacy policy and not share the information given them. Hasn't been a problem but obviously there can be unscrupulous operators.
