I was at Gander Mt. today. They had a 1911 (which looked amazingly similar to the High Standard right next to it) that was labeled as a "Kahr 1911A1". It didn't say Kahr anywhere on the gun. Is this a Kahr, or is there a stock-boy at Gander who thinks he's funny?

Auto Ord made one, and I think Kahr bought them out.

Kahr owns the Auto Ordnance name, but I'm pretty sure they have nothing to do with the old Auto Ord. Sorta like the Winchester name being split between Olin and Browning.

What would be best Kahr model for concealing in place like leg? I was considering getting a smaller Kahr gun to conceal as a backup in addition to my bulkier and bigger Springfield XD or 1911 piece.

PM9 makes a decent pocket pistol and is light enoung for ankle carry if you like that style.
