I am in the market for a 12 ga turkey shotgun with 20 or 21" barrel which can accept interchangeable choke tubes. The shotgun will also be used for home and camp defense. In theses roles, a shotgun is often deliberately aimed rather than pointed; so I plan to outfit it with a ghost ring sight.
The Remington Shur Shot stock looks like it might be good for situations in which the shotgun is aimed as well as when it is pointed. I have handled shotguns equipped with this type of stock in gun stores, and it feels good to me. I have not fired any rounds through a shotgun with this type of stock yet.
Has anyone used a shotgun equipped with a Shur Shot stock. How do you like it? Does it seem to reduce the felt recoil with 3" magnum loads? I am mainly interested in hearing responses from those who have actually used a shotgun so equipped.
