Does your car have a panic button on the keychain?

No. Every time I leaned over, or against a desk, the keys or coins in my pocket were pressing the darned thing. I got sick and tired of it going off, so I used a knife the cut the trace on the circuit board that led to the panic button. It's inert now.

Dontcha hate that? The other night I had BOTH of my vehicles going off just because I put my keys in my pocket stupid.

Well they may be ignored BUT what would it hurt to press that little button?

If it's going to be ignored, and if not ignored will require a prolonged period before an insomniac 6 houses down finally calls the cops who have other things to do before responding to a long-running car alarm, I've got better things to do (like get family secured) than try to find & push a small button in the dark.

Car alarms are generally hated and ignored.
Can't tell you how many I see in parking lots flashing and honking away and nobody bothers to look twice.
Heck, even the tow truck guys drag them through town with the alarm going off.
